The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) requires all districts to provide services for gifted students as part of Exceptional Student Education (ESE), under State Board of Education Rule 6A-6.03019, Florida Administrative Code. Gifted education in Florida is built on a foundation of equity, multiple criteria for eligibility, and individualized Educational Plans (EPs) to ensure students receive appropriate services that nurture their talents.
