Empower North Carolina's Gifted Learners with Personalized Enrichment
Gifted & Talented Education in North Carolina – Renzulli Learning Alignment
How Will North Carolina’s Gifted Learners Shape the Future?
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) ensures services for gifted students through the Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Program, authorized by Article 9B of the NC General Statutes (N.C.G.S. §115C-150.5–150.8). Every district (LEA) must develop a local AIG plan, approved by the State Board of Education, that details how it will identify, serve, and monitor gifted learners.
Renzulli Learning aligns with North Carolina’s statutory requirements by supporting districts in identification, enrichment, differentiation, and documentation, while helping schools meet both Article 9B and State AIG Standards.
Cultivating Talent Across the Tar Heel State
North Carolina defines AIG learners as students performing or capable of significantly high achievements compared to their peers—across academic and creative domains. Equity of access is a critical priority.
Renzulli Learning promotes this mission by:
Enabling nuanced learner profiles through the Renzulli Profiler, Learning Styles Inventory, Executive Function Assessment, Leadership Assessment, and supporting identification with the Cebeci Test of Creativity.
Designing personalized enrichment pathways tailored to students’ talents and interests.
Ensuring equitable access across all districts—urban, rural, and suburban.
