Happy New Year! As you round the bend of the school year, try something new in Renzulli Learning to engage your students and open your classroom up to the world of personalized learning. For example, check out the new Personalized Activities by Subject, our all new Podcasts, or try a Contest/Competition!
Personalized Activities by Subject Now Available!
Finding curriculum based Enrichment Activities is now even easier! In My Enrichment Activities, students can now browse Personalized Activities by category AND by subject! Personalized Activities are grouped by subject area based on the Student’s Profile.
This enhancement supports Dr. Renzulli’s Infusion-Based Approach, and allows classroom teachers to incorporate extra highly-engaging activities for advanced students!
Spotlight on Sources
Podcasts
Have you ever used Podcasts in the classroom? From the Enrichment Activities database, search the newly revised category, Videos & Podcasts, to locate resources that students can listen to.
This search can be performed from the Student Site or Teacher Site, and you can set advanced filters to identify by interest areas or a specific subject you are preparing to teach! Utilize Podcasts for the whole class, small groups, or for individualized learning.
Sharing Showcase
Are you using Podcasts?
As you prepare to introduce students to a new curricular unit, try a “podcast walkabout” where students listen to an assigned podcast while walking, then rejoin together in the classroom to discuss what they have learned and what they liked or disliked about what they heard. Read more in Relevant Reading below!
How are you using podcasts in the classroom? Let us know and tag us on Twitter (@RenzulliLearn) or Facebook (Like our page!) We might use your idea in a new Assignment Template to share with teachers around the world!
Requesting Best Practices!
Have you tried something new in Renzulli Learning that went well with your students? We’d love to share your Best Practices with other Renzulli Teachers! Please send an email to our Director of Professional Development, Jeanne Pascon at [email protected] with a paragraph or two, a photo or short video if you’d like (with parental permission for students shown), and any applicable links to content or products created.
